Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

(Refer to the Fuel Delivery System - "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line")

2.

Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

3.

Remove the rear seat cushion.

(Refer to Body - "Rear Seat Assembly")

4.

Remove the fuel pump service cover (A) after loosening the mounting screws.

5.

Disconnect the fuel feed quick-connector (A).

6.

Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector (B).

7.

Disconnect the fuel pump connector (C).

8.

Remove the sub fuel sender service cover (A) after loosening the mounting screws.

9.

Disconnect the sub fuel sender connector (A).

10.

Lift the vehicle.

11.

Remove the center muffler assembly.

(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Muffler")

12.

Remove the propeller shaft assembly.

(Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "Propeller Shaft")

13.

Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A) and leveling hose (B).

14.

Disconnect the ventilation (A).

15.

Support the fuel tank with jack (A).

16.

Remove the fuel tank installation nut (B) and then loosen the fuel tank.

17.

Remove the fuel tank (A).

Installation
1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

To keep the locks from freezing, squirt an approved de-icer fluid or glycerine into the key opening. If a lock is covered with ice, squirt it with an approved de-icing fluid to remove the ice. If the lock is frozen internally, you may be able to thaw it out by using a heated key. Handle the heated key with care to avoid injury. Use approved window washer anti-freeze in system To keep the water in the window washer system from freezing, add an approved window washer anti-freeze solution in accordance with instructions on the container.

WARNING - Windshield heating Do not use the or position during cooling operation in extremely humid weather. The difference between the temperature of the outside air and the windshield could cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, causing loss of visibility. In this case, set the mode selection to the position and fan speed control to the lower speed.
